Beer pong - yet more proof dogs are smarter than humans

We went round Helen and Stephen's house last night and we ate yummy food (Dave gave me some sausage roll and chicken) and played games. I wasn't very good at the game Articulate where everyone spoke a lot but i helped a lot with beer pong. Everyone was throwing balls in cups and drinking what was in the cup and i helped pick up all the dropped balls. This morning everyone feels poorly because of beer pong, so i don't know why they play it. People are silly sometimes.

Waiting for food!

New toys

I've been busy playing with my new Christmas toys and treats. This is me with one of my bone treats from my friend John and the new pull toy that Louise and Dave got me. My old one was a bit broken and pink. I like pink but the other boy dogs don't have pink and yellow is just as good. Christmas was tiring but now its time for something called new years. I don't know much about it but i know Dave will explain it.

Christmas

It's Christmas today, which I think is some kind of food and drink festival in particular peas, Louise said Christmas is all about peas on earth and end to war, although not sure how peas would help end war. I ate lots and lots! (I like pigs in blankets better than peas!)
Dave and Louise got a lot of new things today, and the shop sent them wrapped in brightly coloured paper which I liked. We went to the pub too and saw my friend Rupert who was wearing a funny outfit. It has been a lovely day. I love Christmas.

Christmas tour of the south

We've had a very very busy weekend. We've been to three different places in three days! We went to see Dave's mum and dad where i got gravy. Then we went to see Dave's brother and his family and i got to play with Ciarrah their daughter. Then we went to see Louise's mum, dad and sister and i got yummy gammon. I had so much fuss, probably because i worked really hard to be good, even sleeping on my own bed all night. Louise's mum put a special cushion down just for me so i slept on that. We're home in Cheshire now and it's something called Christmas tomorrow, which is very exciting!

I love bar snacks

Dave was putting up a friends outdoor lights today but we met him later at The Crescent for a drink. I know for a fact they sell crisps nuts pork scratchings and all sorts behind the bar so I tried a few subtle hints for a snack, but as they were too busy chatting I had to get a bit more obvious and after a bit of  pawing and whining I got my way. Yummy. Sausage rolls.

Baby it's cold outside

I only went for a short walk today because it is so COLD! It's so cold that the grass is white and when i stood on it it crunched under my paws. The good thing about being a dog in Cheshire normally is the long walks but today, i'm staying warm and toasty on my blanket away from the white grass and close to Louise on the sofa.

Sick as a dog

I knew something was wrong when Louise didn't get up at her usual time. Instead she rang someone called Boss where she works in Manchester and then fell asleep again coughing. Seeing as she was feeling poorly I thought I'd stay in bed in sympathy. My friend John still came to give me a walk in the park but other than that we just cuddled up and stayed warm. I hope she gets better soon.

Sad, as Louise is sick as a dog (I don't like that phrase)

Enough's enough

I was aware Louise had a hangover when she didn't get up after Dave went to work, and she works hard so I don't mind, but after a bit, enough's enough. I'm top dog in Disley and I have needs. When she didn't get the hint with my death stare, we had words. We've gone for a walk now, and I feel like I've made my point.
Walk me. Now.

At the end of the day

It's been a long day, so I reckon I deserved a pint. Unfortunately as I'm only 5 I'm not allowed to drink in the pub, but I went with Louise to meet Dave, who's definitely over 5!  The pub is called The Crescent and it's in Disley, where we live.  Lots of my friends go there which is nice, and they have a bowl in the corner with water in just for me.  I let the other dogs use it too, but no one else that comes in the pub has their drink ready for the all the time.  They must like me a lot!

Pint of pork scratching please!

Their bed is bigger than my bed

After much consideration I have realised that Dave and Louise's bed is bigger than mine and I want a piece of that!  I am being pretty blatant about my desire to switch beds.  Getting onto their bed and messing it up regularly will hopefully show them that my bed would be better for them than theirs.  I am one clever dog.
