Puddles in Parks and Puddles on Carpets

Dave had to drive his bus all weekend so me and Louise went out a few times together.  I like walks with Louise because she lets me off my lead and just play.  We went to the park today.  There were lots of children playing on the swings but Louise said that swings were not a good idea for dogs, which is probably for the best because I don't know how I'd hold on.  Instead I looked for some puddles to play in.  There was only one in the whole field but I found it.  I was a bit worried about getting muddy so thought about it for a bit but there was no way I wasn't going in that puddle!  Louise was a bit cross when she saw the mud so I got out and did some running instead.  I'm a very fast dog but I'm not as young as I used to be so I had a lay down after a bit.

Thinking about going in the puddle...

...Yup, definitely going in the puddle ....

....Oops, Louise looks a bit cross, so getting out the puddle....

....And rest
Harvey with his newspaper
One dog who is a young dog is Hilda's dog who's called Harvey.  He's only a puppy and we were giving her newspapers for his toilet training.  Toilet training is when you learn that tinkling on the carpet means no treats and no fuss.  It is not fun, so I hope Harvey learns soon.  He is very bouncy and barked at me a lot.  I know he just hasn't learnt how important I am in Disley yet, so I let it slide.  Hilda took some nice photos of him with our newspaper and put them on Facebook, so she must like that newspaper a lot!

Apple Flavoured Beer - Not for Dogs

My friend Dan has put a photo of me on a computer program called Facebook, which is something that people go on all the time to tell everyone what they are doing. I don’t go on it much because I have so much fun I don’t want to make people jealous, but Louise goes on a lot and I’m worried she won’t be happy about the picture because it looks like I’m drinking the apple flavoured beer she likes! I think they put a can in front of me at the beer pong party for fun, but I’m only 5 and so I can’t drink some drinks with something called alcohol in, and beer definitely has alcohol in because when Dave drinks it he laughs a lot.

I’m sure Louise will understand when I explain it properly, and Dan is quite funny, he has a lizard living in his house! (Lizards are like smaller, bald, green dogs that don’t move much)  My friend Scrappy will probably like the photo, he’s always on Facebook with Aaron and he’s always boasting about all the photos of him on the line (not sure which line he means).

I’m looking forward to the weekend; because I've been good we’re going to the big park in Disley with my Frisbee after a long lay in (my campaign to take their bed is going well).  Dave isn’t driving the bus so we’re all spending the weekend together, I like weekends like that the best.

Frisbees and Pretend Trees

It's been quite a busy day and Louise is very cross and i'm not sure why. She's been busy tidying away a pretend tree and shiny rope called tinsel so maybe she's tired from that but she really wore herself out on our walk.
We went to the park in Disley and played with my new Frisbee and I got a bit puffed out so decided to call it a day. Louise was looking around like she was enjoying the fresh air so I thought i'd leave her to it and took my Frisbee home and waited for her on the doorstep. She was AGES and when she got home she was really mad at me for going home on my own. She said she thought i'd been hurt on the road or fallen in the canal and that I must never ever run off on my own again.
I waited by the door for Dave to explain so I wasn't in trouble with him too, but he was mainly pleased i'd remembered the Frisbee. I think he likes it even more than i do! (which would be hard, i love that Frisbee a lot). He said that I must be good for Louise tomorrow and that if i'm well behaved he'll take me to the big park next week in the car. He said Louise was cross because she had worried about me. I felt a bit bad then. I'll be extra nice tonight by making sure there isn't too much extra gammon for her to have to wrap up and letting her talk to me when the football's on. (my team; Tottenham, isn't playing, so I don't mind.)
