Dave loves watching football and so do I, but he likes playing a football game on his lap computer too. It's when you pretend you run a football team, which sounds like fun but Dave won't let me play. I told on him for not sharing (it's good to share) but Louise says dogs don't usually play computer games as they can't type with paws. I'm smarter than your average dog and my little paws are clean so I might ask Dave again. I wonder if football managers play games where they pretend to be a bus driver.
Ricky the dog lives in a little village called Disley up in the hills of Cheshire. He lives with his owners, Dave and Louise, in a little house near all his friends.

TV - It's a dog eat dog world
It’s been really cold in Cheshire at the
moment, and foggy, so I’m quite pleased to get home and cozy up in front of the
TV. I have favourite programmes: I like ‘House’
because he’s a doctor who makes Louise laugh and carries a big stick that looks
great for playing fetch, and I like ‘A League Of Their Own’ because they all
look like they're having fun and sometimes they play with a ball. I especially like it when there’s football
on, that’s mine and Dave’s favourite game even though we argue because I help
Louise by supporting Tottenham when he supports Manchester United! What I really don’t like is Eastenders, and
it’s on nearly every night!
Everyone seems grumpy all the time, and
shouts, and worst of all there’s no dogs at all. What sort of place has no dogs? A sad place
that’s where. Dave likes it, so I make
him feel really bad when he’s watching it.
I sigh, I look sad, and sometimes he changes it. My New Year’s resolution (that’s a promise to
yourself you try and keep but sometimes don’t) is to learn how to use the
remote control.
I hate Eastenders

Frisbees and Pretend Trees
It's been quite a busy day and Louise is very cross and i'm not sure why. She's been busy tidying away a pretend tree and shiny rope called tinsel so maybe she's tired from that but she really wore herself out on our walk.
We went to the park in Disley and played with my new Frisbee and I got a bit puffed out so decided to call it a day. Louise was looking around like she was enjoying the fresh air so I thought i'd leave her to it and took my Frisbee home and waited for her on the doorstep. She was AGES and when she got home she was really mad at me for going home on my own. She said she thought i'd been hurt on the road or fallen in the canal and that I must never ever run off on my own again.
I waited by the door for Dave to explain so I wasn't in trouble with him too, but he was mainly pleased i'd remembered the Frisbee. I think he likes it even more than i do! (which would be hard, i love that Frisbee a lot). He said that I must be good for Louise tomorrow and that if i'm well behaved he'll take me to the big park next week in the car. He said Louise was cross because she had worried about me. I felt a bit bad then. I'll be extra nice tonight by making sure there isn't too much extra gammon for her to have to wrap up and letting her talk to me when the football's on. (my team; Tottenham, isn't playing, so I don't mind.)
